UVA Lamps
For many applications, the longer wavelength spectrum
emitted by UVA lamps is recommended. UVAs are especially useful for tests
comparing generically different types of polymers. Because UVA lamps have
no UV output below the normal solar cutoff of 295 nm, they usually do
not degrade materials as fast as UVB lamps. However they usually give
better correlation with actual outdoor weathering.
UVA-340
This lamp is the best available simulation of sun light
in the critical, short wavelength UV region between 365 nm and the solar
cut-off of 295 nm. Its peek emission is at 340 nm.

UVA-351
The UVA-351 is recommended for simulated sunlight filtered
through window glass. Its most useful for indoors or automotive interior
applications. These lamps are manufactured to the Q-Panel specification,
to produce closer control than commercially available UVA sources.
